ACCOUNTING OFFICER

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • - Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • - Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements. Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • - Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • - Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet and other reports.
  • - Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • - Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
  • - Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Required Qualifications

 

  • - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or any related field
  • - Proven working experience as an accounting or in a relevant field
  • - Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • - Excellent accounting software user
  • - Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
  • - Great with numbers, figures and attention to detail
  • - Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • - Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
